Utah’s National Parks Loop

Utah has five National Parks and is within a day’s ride of 4 more national parks. The diversity and location of the state is amazing; from high alpine settings to beautiful canyons and everything in between. This trip highlights both well known and little known roads. Utah’s National Parks Loop is a 5 day, 1,520 mile tour starting and ending in Salt Lake City, Utah.  This tour will take you into all geographic regions of Utah and is in and around 5 National Parks, ZionBryce Canyon, Capitol Reef, Canyonlands, Arches, and includes and the Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument and Cedar Breaks National Monument.  The tour averages 304 miles per day.  This tour can easily be extended to allow for extra days for hiking and/or sightseeing. In addition, Lake Powell (Glen Canyon National recreation Area) or neighboring National Parks in Nevada, Arizona and Wyoming are close by. A Note about Google Maps.  If you are clicking on a map link below in the winter time, many of the roads on these tours are closed.  Google will route you around closed roads, so be aware of this issue so you don’t plan a trip that excludes many of the highlighted roads.

DAY 2 MAPS & DIRECTIONS: 306 Miles.  Overnight in Moab, Utah.

DAY 3 MAPS & DIRECTIONS: 369 Miles.  Overnight in Torrey, Utah

DAY 4 MAPS & DIRECTIONS: 263 Miles.  Overnight in  Springdale, Utah

DAY 5 MAPS & DIRECTIONS: 347 Miles.  Trip ends in Salt Lake City, Utah
