<strong>Montana<\/strong>, <strong>Idaho<\/strong>, <strong>Washington<\/strong>, <strong>British<\/strong> <strong>Columbia<\/strong> and <strong>Alberta<\/strong>.&nbsp; The tour averages 281 miles per day and consists of&nbsp; endless scenic byways.&nbsp; This tour can easily be extended to allow for extra days in the National Parks for hiking and\/or sightseeing or add additional riding areas from any of the other&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/greatrideswest.com\/?page_id=15\">greatrideswest.com Tour Routes<\/a>.&nbsp; Directions<\/span>: 286 Miles<\/strong><\/span><\/a><\/h3>\n<p>Starting out north of <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Missoula,_Montana\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Missoula, Mt<\/a>, we take Route 93 through farm and ranch lands towards <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Polson,_Montana\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Polson, MT<\/a> and the south end <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Flathead_Lake\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Flathead Lake<\/a>.&nbsp;&nbsp; From Polson we take Route 35 along the east shoreline of Flathead with the <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Mission_Mountains\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Mission Mountains <\/a>on <a href=\"https:\/\/greatrideswest.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/08\/DSC_0059.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright wp-image-895\" title=\"Waterton Lake\" src=\"https:\/\/greatrideswest.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/08\/DSC_0059-300x200.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"242\" height=\"162\" srcset=\"https:\/\/greatrideswest.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/08\/DSC_0059-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/greatrideswest.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/08\/DSC_0059-1024x685.jpg 1024w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 242px) 100vw, 242px\" \/><\/a>our right heading towards Big Fork.&nbsp; We continue past Big Fork back onto Route 93 towards <a href=\"http:\/\/www.kalispell.com\/home\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Kalispell<\/a>.&nbsp; We then take Route 2 to to the entrance of <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Glacier_National_Park_%28U.S.%29\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Glacier National Park<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The next segment of the day&#8217;s ride is through Glacier National Park and the amazing Going To The Sun Road.&nbsp; We ride past <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Lake_McDonald\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Lake McDonald<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Saint_Mary_Lake\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Saint Mary Lake<\/a> and vista after beautiful vista.&nbsp; We then pick up Route 89 north to Route 17 to the Canadian border.&nbsp; A side trip to <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Swiftcurrent_Lake\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Swiftcurrent Lake<\/a> and the setting of the <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Many_Glacier_Hotel\">Many Glacier Hotel<\/a> is worth it if time permits.&nbsp; Once you cross the <a href=\"https:\/\/greatrideswest.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/08\/DSC_0064.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-894 alignleft\" title=\"Prince of Wales\" src=\"https:\/\/greatrideswest.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/08\/DSC_0064-300x200.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"180\" height=\"120\" srcset=\"https:\/\/greatrideswest.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/08\/DSC_0064-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/greatrideswest.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/08\/DSC_0064-1024x685.jpg 1024w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 180px) 100vw, 180px\" \/><\/a>border, Route 17 turns to Route 6 as we head into <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Waterton_Lakes_National_Park\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Waterton Lakes National Park<\/a>.&nbsp; Directions<\/span>: 308 Miles<\/strong><\/span><\/a><\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">We start early today as this is a long riding day and we want to have breakfast at the <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Chateau_Lake_Louise\">Chateau Lake Louise Hotel<\/a> overlooking the emerald waters of&nbsp; Lake Louise.&nbsp; The ride from Banff to <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Lake_Louise,_Alberta\">Lake Louise<\/a> is a great 40 mile stretch of wooded<a href=\"https:\/\/greatrideswest.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/04\/Banff-Springs.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-907 alignright\" title=\"Banff Springs\" src=\"https:\/\/greatrideswest.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/04\/Banff-Springs.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"161\" height=\"223\"><\/a> twisties with a teasing of the Rockies along the way.&nbsp; From Lake Louise we head west on Route 1, the <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Trans-Canada_Highway\">Trans-Canada Highway<\/a> towards British Columbia.&nbsp; The Trans-Canada is a more heavily traveled road as it is the only road leading west through the wilderness of Canada.&nbsp; But the the ride will not disappoint as you travel through <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Yoho_National_Park\">Yoho National Park<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Glacier_National_Park_%28Canada%29\">Glacier National Park<\/a> (not the same Glacier as in the US), <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Mount_Revelstoke_National_Park\">Mt.
